Phillippines

While on the island we have stayed in three different hotels the price range was from $10-$15 a night per person. The rooms had to AC but had a fan, which helped a lot, and it was not as hot at night because the humidity level is not as high as in HK.Every morning I started with eating a fresh mango, or drinking a fresh mango juice, the mango there are unbelievable. The food was very cheap and tasty as well, rice with squid, chicken curry, veggies etc. As you might be aware they do not use any preservatives, hormones, or antibiotics in their food so the chicken meat is actually red the way it suppose to be.
Everyday I had a massage  - how can you refuse when its $5 an hour and on the beach. The message ladies were waiting for use outside the resort and knew all our names and were very glad full we are getting massages. One of the nights we went to the local disco that was very fun and interesting to watch. The disco took place on a basketball court and the whole island was there; kids, teenagers, and grownups. They were very up to date with their music like “Tila Tequila
Style those from Ottawa will understand. The locals like us being there and wanted to take pictures with us. With regards to taking pictures one morning I was getting massages and 5 ladies approached me to take picture with them, so know my picture is somewhere in the Philippines being shown to friends and family.
The kids on the island are absolutely adorable and they all speak English, and the highlight of the trip was them singing Justin Bibber and Taylor Swift in perfect English, knowing all the lyrics.
To sum it up it was a great trip with a visit to paradise island where the water is crystal clear, eating fresh mangoes, meeting amazing people, and appreciating life seeing the enormous poverty.
