I don’t even know where to start, haven’t written in a few days so need to put my thoughts together. I finally moved in into my permanent dorm Xuesi Hall; which is girls only but its not as bad as I thought it will be. I have an amazing view nothing can be better than waking up and seeing the mountains islands and the harbor.
School starts today I am looking forward to seeing how they teach and I am a bit scared at the same time. Yesterday we went to the beach which is 30 min away from our University Stanley beach; the water was so warm and I loved swimming in the Chinese Sea. The beach was not too crowded even though it was a Sunday. On the way to the beach for the first time I felt how many people live in HK and got overwhelmed by the crowd. On the beach we found this great Thai restaurant and I had some real coconut milk, which was awesome. On the way back we passed by Central and saw bunch of Philippine women seating on the ground and chatting and playing cards, we were very confused on why they were doing so. As we figured out from an Australian guy the Philippine women gather there on Sundays to socialize because they have no money to go somewhere since they send it all to they home countries.
The other day we met few Chinese guys and girls and they decided to show us around, the people here are super friendly. We went to a bar, and they one of the Asian guys decided to do a shot, which ended up being a bad idea. The lessons learned never offer shots to locals.
The weather is finally very sunny and warm and nothing can be better than that.
I have to run but will try to write soon.
